We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Authority to join our team within Airbus Defence and Space based in Portsmouth.
Reporting directly to the Head of Technical Authority you will be responsible for providing expert guidance and leadership on all technical matters within your designated area of expertise.
You will be the go-to person for complex technical questions, and you will play a key role in ensuring that our technical decisions are sound, compliant, and aligned with our overall business objectives.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM…
Provide expert technical advice and guidance to internal stakeholders, including engineers, project managers, and executives.
Review and approve technical designs, specifications, and documentation.
Identify and mitigate technical risks.
Conduct technical audits and assessments.
Mentor and coach junior technical staff.
ABOUT YOU…
Experience as a Technical Authority or in a similar technical leadership role within the Space industry
Knowledge of diverse technology and development methodologies, covering some of the following topics - RF Equipment (LNA's, HPA's Converters etc), DCDC Converters, DSP's, PCB Design, Materials and Processes
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound technical decisions.
Familiarity with industry compliance standards and security best practices.
