Job Title: Mechanical Project Engineer Undergraduate Industrial Placement (1 Year fixed term)

Location: London – Heathrow
The UK engineering team works as an integrated part of the Worldwide Vanderlande Engineering team consisting of over 800 engineers from all automated handling disciplines.
An undergraduate Engineer joining the UK Engineering team has the opportunity to gain valuable work experience through joining our projects, either here at Heathrow or across our wider UK portfolio. If you have a passion for engineering and willingness to learn, we will help you develop your design and layouting skills against challenging standards, all whilst adding value to our customers operations. The role is suited to someone who is comfortable with clearly defined work parameters, adherence to standards and procedures; a person who is patient and hard working.
Role Responsibilities
As a Mechanical Project Engineer on an industrial placement year as an undergraduate you will support our automation projects by creating the mechanical designs and layouts for our intralogistics equipment and systems.
The area of work is of a specialist/technical nature and the person fulfilling the role would be assigned to support our UK and Ireland based customers. There will be an opportunity for exposure to our customers and an on-site presence is required, so this is a role that cannot be undertaken remotely.

Candidate should have knowledge of some of the following:
Candidates must currently be undertaking their second year of a mechanical engineering degree at a UK university and be available to undertake their placement year between July 2024 and August 2025.
