Where you’ll work

Throughout the year, we invite friends, families and even neighbours from across Ipswich and wide Suffolk area to join us for all sorts of care home celebrations. From summer fetes to Christmas fayres, scrumptious afternoon teas to annual awareness day celebrations and Care Home Open Day. For our last Silver Sunday celebration, we hosted a tea party with a rock n’ roll twist. We dusted off our leather jackets, a-line skirts and spent the afternoon singing and dancing to music from the 1950s and 1960s. Our community events are the perfect way to support our residents to meet new friends. Those receiving residential care often comment on how their social life has never been so busy. And that’s the way we like it!

What skills do I need?

• Team work!  A happy team, makes for happy residents and a happy home
• Experience is not essential, as we will support you with all the training and support you’ll need to do the job, what is important is that you are caring, enthusiastic and have energy to share
• Being able to communicate well is essential along with a flexible approach
• You’ll also be kind and have a real genuine like for older people and their needs, ensuring we treat everyone with the respect and dignity they deserve.
