Estate Technician

Paignton

£23,890 - £25,147 per year

40 hours per week

We are looking for an Estate Technician to join our Estate Services team based in Paignton and covering various sites in the area. This is a lone working role carrying out general cleaning of communal areas and grounds maintenance within a number of sheltered housing schemes along with some compliance testing.  A van and tools will be provided to assist in this role. Development opportunities are available within the team for you to develop your skills and career.

The role of Estate Technician will include:

• Cleaning the communal areas of Housing for older people schemes
• Completing grounds maintenance such as grass and hedge cutting
• Carrying out weekly fire alarm and emergency light testing
• Completing daily work records and maintaining stock levels
• Ensuring tools and equipment are kept in a useable condition
• Providing accurate information and updates on the progress of allocated work

Skills and experiences:

• Some practical experience in compliance testing and operating hand tools and light machinery an advantage
• Working knowledge of health and safety regulations
• Recent experience in interpreting written instructions and maintaining simple written records
• Previous experience in working with Housing Associations would be an advantageous, but not essential
• This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence
