Customer Supporter Part Time

 

Poplar House, Basildon

 

£12.50 per hour, effective from 1 April 2024

 

15 hours per week

We are seeking a Customer Supporter to join our team at Poplar House, to make a real difference to the lives of our customers

 

Set in a quiet, residential area of Basildon, Poplar House is a purpose-built development providing high-quality homes with a range of on-site services and facilities. We ensure that customers enjoy their retirement in comfort, whilst continuing to live independently, with the peace of mind that help is on hand if they need it.

The role of Customer Supporter will include:

  • Providing front of house reception duties, including meeting and greeting our customers and visitors into a welcoming environment
  • Developing innovative and inclusive individual and group activities for customers using exciting live Apps like World Walking and Ooomph to enrich social time online with other Sanctuary schemes
  • Promoting and evaluating activities for customers, enabling them to reach their own potential
  • Assisting and encouraging customers to access and maintain a level of integration into the wider community
  • Working with other staff to ensure a clean and comfortable environment is maintained
  • Devising person centred Live Well Plans for each customer to ensure they have their best possible experience whilst residing with us

 

Skills and experiences:

  • Experience of developing and leading customer involvement activities
  • Previous experience working with a similar customer group is desirable
  • Good interpersonal and customer care skills
  • Experience with working to deadlines and prioritising work loads
  • Basic Microsoft Word and Excel skills
  • NVQ2 in Health and Social Care, or willing to work towards
  • Literacy and numeracy equivalent to at least GCSE Grade C English and Maths
