Apprentice – Accountancy Level 3

Fixed term contract for 18 months

Worcester based with a balance of home and office working

Starting salary year 1:  £13,977

University isn’t always the answer!

In partnership with our training provider Kaplan, we are offering a Level 3 Apprenticeship in Accountancy. This is an opportunity to join one of the largest organisations in Worcestershire. You will have the opportunity to train across the finance functions at our head office rotating through distinct roles in our shared service centre before progressing to our management account teams.

This is the first step in a scheme that can extend as far along your professional journey towards being a qualified accountant as your dedication and excellence take you. Our organisation is committed to providing you with the time and support to complete your apprenticeship alongside the training provider.

What will you do?

You will be working from the Worcester office, initially in our shared service centre, before moving into our management accounting teams. As part of your job role, you will be asked to complete tasks such as accurately raising sales invoices and supporting the timely collation of accounting information. All of this will be supported by the team around you, ensuring you are getting the best out of your apprenticeship!

What skills and abilities do I need to have?

We look for candidates who live and breathe our values; Ambition, Inclusion, Integrity, Quality and Sustainability - and have a willingness to learn, enthusiasm and dedication.

On top of this, practical skills we are looking for are;

• A minimum of 2 GCSEs at Grade 4 or above, or the equivalent including Maths and English
• Level 2 AAT qualification or equivalent experience/Accountancy A-level desirable
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel and Outlook)
