Job Summary

Part of the Ingersoll Rand Distribution Sales organisation, candidates will lead sales to achieve budgeted levels of sales and profit offering excellent customer service. Responsible for distribution sales of Ingersoll Rand compressors and associated products and services.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain an appropriate productive relationship with existing and potential distributors at all levels.
  • Plan and manage the defined sales territory to make efficient use of time and resources.
  • Negotiate prices for new business and price increases that achieve Company plans.
  • Be proactive to achieve margin improvement.
  • Liaise with the Company effectively communicating the customer demands and providing feedback on performance.
  • Support distributors on site when required.
  • Aim to respond to all distributor support requests, where possible within a 24-hour period
  • Produce sales / marketing plan for each distributor.

 

Basic Qualifications

  • Full UK Driving licence
  • Technical qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and / or in business or sales related area preferred.

 

Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements

Home based with regular UK regional travel to visit distributors

  • Experience in industrial sales and within the vacuum/compressor market.
  • Proven experience of managing a distribution network
  • High level of creativity.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed.
  • Proven analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Exceptional customer service orientation
