As Compliance Risk Lead, you’ll provide expert guidance and lead the NGET business in identifying, assessing, and reporting on current and potential future controls and risks associated with the business’s regulatory and legal compliance obligations. You’ll be responsible for delivering robust controls assurance through regular compliance risk assessment and reporting, and you’ll deliver process and control improvements along with clear documentation required to ensure effective and consistent process delivery.

 

You’ll take a lead role in ensuring NGET’s compliance reporting obligations are met, reporting, analysing and providing narrative for the 6 monthly compliance report, yearly Certificate of Assurance and Financial Ringfencing processes.


You’ll also investigate identified compliance risks and issues and drive through remediation actions, advising 1st line control owners on the design, implementation and testing of controls required to manage the businesses key compliance risks.  In addition, you’ll work with the Assurance team to ensure accurate compliance process inputs and data transfer into the 2nd Line Assurance Plan.

 

We’re flexible on where you’re based however, you’ll be required to travel to our Warwick office once or twice a week.

 


 

What you'll need

 

With expert knowledge of compliance and risk frameworks, you’ll have experience of providing high quality and sound professional compliance risk management across a large-scale function.


You’ll ideally have knowledge of regulatory, licencing, and legislative frameworks, as well as knowledge of National Grid’s compliance reporting processes, such as certificate of assurance and financial ringfencing process.


You’ll possess strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate with, challenge and influence across all levels. Good project management and time management skills, are also key, as is knowledge of National Grid’s assurance frameworks.

A competitive salary of £50,300 – £62,000 per annum
