Job Description

Job Summary:

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Intern to join our team for a summer project focused on a physical inventory of the company's fixed assets. This is a critical two-month project requiring independent work with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will be a sophomore (or higher) student with a strong understanding of accounting principles and processes.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct a physical inventory of all company fixed assets.
• Consolidate and analyze data on fixed assets from various sources.
• Reconcile the physical inventory count with the SAP fixed asset report.
• Prepare a list of fixed assets for disposition (removal).
• Utilize advanced Excel functions (pivot tables, lookups, etc.) for data analysis.
• May assist with additional accounting tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Current sophomore (or higher) standing in an Accounting, Finance, or Business program.
• Completion of Accounting 101 with a strong understanding of accounting principles.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, etc.)
• SAP experience a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
