We are seeking an experienced individual for the newly created role of Group Consolidation Accountant. This role is key to the timely delivery of the monthly Board Report which is based on the consolidated group numbers. It will involve running a timely and accurate month end close achieved by clear communication of deadlines to regional finance reams and addressing issues in a timely manner.
The group is headquartered in Soho Square, Central London, and this role will be based out of the London office on a hybrid basis and will require a high level of interaction with regionally based finance teams.
Job Description
- Reports directly to the Group Financial Controller
- Responsibility for month end close timeline and completion tracking
- Leading monthly regional consolidation and accounting calls
- Perform monthly, quarterly and year-end closing consolidation
- Production of monthly, quarterly group level analytics
- In charge of group inter-company reconciliation
- Completion of group SOX controls
- Improvements in Finance Processes relating to month end close
- Supporting SEC reporting team in US GAAP reporting
- Ensuring all accounting is in line with required GAAP and Group policy
- Review of Monthly P&Ls, Balance sheets and supporting information
- Production of statutory reporting
- Working closely with External auditors with view to simplifying annual audits
- Detailed KPI reporting
- Review and certification of Balance Sheet reconciliations
- Working with Internal Audit team to ensure SOX compliance
- Group cash management and treasury reporting
- Short term cashflow forecasting
- Other Ad hoc work as initiated or required
Requirements
- Proven track record of timely delivery and completion of tasks
- Setting the standard for excellence
- Experience of consolidation accounting
- Understanding of Sarbanes Oxley compliance
- Commitment to collaboration and communication
- Experience of both revenue and cost analysis
- Experience of cashflow management
- Desire to learn and utilise Workday Financials to the full
- Building strong working relationships with regional Finance teams
- Reporting standardisation
- A Continuous improvement ethos
- Detailed, organised and flexible
- Resilience and a drive for results
- Excellent technical accounting skills
- A professional accounting qualification is highly desirable
