POSITION OVERVIEW

The Process Expert at NBME will facilitate and lead enterprise-wide transformation through project management, portfolio management, change management and continuous improvement at the strategic level. This position must be able to quickly establish trust and rapport with project owners and stakeholders across the organization. This is a hands-on training design, teaching, project management, and consultative role. It requires the ability to guide the transformation of NBME into an organization that embraces change and implements creative problem solving as the norm. The successful candidate will have a passion for business transformation, strategic thinking and have demonstrated experience with the successful delivery of short and long-cycle projects.

This role has been designated as primarily remote which means it generally does not require onsite work more than an average of 6-10 times per year and may require additional prescheduled onsite work. We're open to considering candidates in the following states: PA, NJ, DE and MD.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Play a major role in implementing enterprise-wide project implementation, process improvement, and change management, and provide enterprise-level information and perspectives to inform decision making.
  • Manage and facilitate strategic programs and projects.
  • Support sponsors/owners on all communication regarding the projects. S/he will compile, analyze, coordinate, and present data for use in reporting and communicating project progress.
  • Support other Enterprise Transformation team members by freely sharing his/her time, knowledge, skills, and experience. S/he will work well in an "ensemble" environment, recognizing that the customer is always the first priority.
  • Role model adherence to NBME's intellectual property, cultural, and other compliance expectations.
  • Proactively identify, prioritize, and recommend process improvement opportunities to help improve the function of multiple levels ranging from the enterprise to the individual contributor level.

QUALIFICATIONS

Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrated experience in leading strategic level projects with larger scope and scale
  • Exceptional meeting facilitation skills. Able to motivate and methodically lead a team to solve problem and achieve desired outcomes
  • Strong business acumen to include the ability to learn quickly and adapt to change
  • Experience using process mapping methods. (i.e. value stream analysis, critical path analysis, work-flow, etc.)
  • Highly analytical and experienced in data analyses (knowledge in statistical analysis and database tools is a plus)
  • Highly motivated, internal driven, and results oriented
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills; able to build rapport with a wide variety of people
  • Comfortable working as a contributing member and/or leader of multiple teams at the same time.
  • Appreciate and work within an esteemed, deeply established organizational culture set on a path to change
  • Demonstrated experience in supporting an organizational culture shift to continuous improvement by applying continuous improvement and change management concepts and tools.
  • Demonstrated experience training all levels of staff on continuous improvement and change management tools.

Experience

  • 5 or more years of business experience, with significant experience in project management and process redesign
  • Experience within non-profit, assessment, academic, or other industries that highlight "knowledge-centric" business objectives with longer life cycles

Education

  • Bachelor's degree required, graduate degree strongly desired
  • Certifications in Project Management and/or Change Management a plus.
