What’s it all about?
The Payment Network function is responsible for creating and building a world class cross-border payment network, supporting a portfolio of products and adding sustainable value to the business.
The Product Manager will manage a group of Product Owners and Business Analysts and will be responsible for gathering and analysing business requirements and enabling the Product and Development teams to deliver on time and ‘right first time’.
The successful candidate will work cross functionally with Visa Direct Global Teams and Visa Payments Ltd teams to enhance the VPL account network product.
What we expect of you, day to day
This position requires an experienced Product Manager with strong payments knowledge and exceptional people management capabilities. Key responsibilities of the role include:
Manage a team of Product Owners and Business Analysts and ensure they are supported and performing and shipping products on time and right first time
Develop a strong and cohesive team by providing leadership through coaching, setting strategic direction, and applying working knowledge of Visa products, systems and procedures
Monitor team performance, identify opportunities and make recommendations to drive improvements and increase efficiency and effectiveness
Lead and oversee the delivery of high-profile and complex new partner integrations and network product enhancements which deliver the network strategy and roadmap in close partnership with the Visa Direct Global teams, Technology and Operational Teams
Serve as a technical SME for the Accounts Network by obtaining a developing a deep knowledge of the product
Evaluate stakeholder feedback and work with other Product managers to address concerns and identify opportunities for improvement and enhancement
Collate and create business requirements to define epics and features to support the evolution and evaluation of new network products
Participate in feature prioritisation: Present the vision to the teams, highlight any upcoming milestones and approve prioritised quarterly objectives
Coordinate cross-functional dependencies to ensure prioritisation of features and stories is in line with the vision and objectives and that products are shipped and launched to clients
Ensure continuous improvement across the network portfolio to support revenue growth, with a focus on client and customer experience
Optimise processes and knowledge management to ensure integrations are designed, delivered and operated in a highly repeatable and predictable manner
Develop analytics, reports, and KPIs to define what winning looks like, build robust business cases, and optimize the prioritization of the Accounts roadmap
Ensure relevant controls and artifacts required for integration (field mapping templates, architectural flows, etc.) are completed and signed-off before initiating integrations
Oversee integration delivery governance processes, ensuring relevant controls and documentation are in place and that relevant approvals are obtained
Ensure risks are accounted for and that an appropriate risk management process is in place and followed appropriately by the integration team
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
For this role the key skills required are:
• Demonstrable experience in the payments industry, specifically in cross border payments (i.e. SWIFT payments, ACH payments, ISO20022, global RTP schemes, etc.
• Payment’s expertise, with a finger on the pulse of industry and competitor developments
• Demonstrable competence in Product Management and e2e product development lifecycle
• Execution focussed with a proven track record of coordinating between Business, Delivery, and Technology teams to define, prioritize, and deliver on a product roadmap
• Demonstrable expertise in Agile product management techniques and practices to ensure delivery of high quality and innovative product offerings
• Expertise in many key technical aspects of integration and delivery of integration
• Proven track record in delivering high value multi-functional transformation programmes within complex and fast evolving matrix driven organisation
• Established leader with effective leadership, people management and people development and influencing skills
• Strong communication skills with the ability to break down complex technical concepts into simple business terms that align to the business strategy
• Ability to work independently with strong time management and ability to execute on multiple concurrent deliverables
• Excellent planning, problem solving, organisation, analytical and reporting skills
• Ability to forge good working relationships with key stakeholders and functional teams across Visa and Visa Payment Limited
• Experience with APIs and SDKs, experience in reading and understanding technical interfaces including APIs
• Strong knowledge of MS-Office products for Windows including Word, Excel, Visio, and SharePoint as well as common toolsets such as Jira
