The Role
As a result of our continued growth and development, a superb opportunity has arisen to join our busy Planning Team. Applications are invited from dynamic individuals with a positive attitude who can demonstrate previous experience in a fast-paced planning environment.
Duties and responsibilities will include providing robust planning processes, enabling efficient information, communication and decision-making pathways. Highlighting risks/opportunities and providing options or solutions to the team in order to assist the business and help drive continuous improvement within the supply chain function
A dedicated and strong team player capable of supporting other members of the team as required ensuring the successful functionality of the planning or operational process.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Senior Factory Planner in developing and driving improvements
Generate and maintain accurate and achievable daily production plans and schedules, in excel or business systems
Identify and communicate the risks and opportunities to plan, by utilising and maintaining accurate production planning data & models
Gain a detailed understanding of upstream, downstream and production processes
Enabling effective decision making & accurate assessment & communication of potential impact, opportunities and options
Work with internal stakeholders to ensure delivery the right product at the right time and cost
Generate and maintain operation and planning KPI’s, reports and data as required
Working with the Senior Factory Planner to produce accurate master production schedules (12-week window)
Requirements
A minimum 1-2 years planning experience preferred
A working knowledge of planning and forecasting
GCSE Maths and English or equivalent
Planning or production experience within a FMCG
Experience of successfully working in a target driven environment
Able to prioritise tasks and use own initiative
Excellent communication skills in a business environment
Proficient Microsoft office skills with a strong understanding of Excel
Strong numeracy skills
Able to remain calm under pressure
Has a “can-do” approach to work tasks, team and business goals
Capable of maintaining positive relationships between teams and suppliers/customers
