HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM
Responsible for the procurement strategy for Onesat Payload equipment
Drive Commodity Management to consult and select the most efficient sourcing solution to meet the project technical, cost and schedule requirements
Establish a procurement forecast and identify future sourcing scenarios in line with the business operative plan
Support and contribute to the satellite bid team with procurement costs to aid the securing of future business
Ensure accurate flowdown of programme requirements through procurement packs to commodity management
Challenge programme to provide clear visibility of future customer demand and requirements in order to build a procurement logic to meet that demand
Report on strategic procurement risks and opportunities within the ARM tool, ensuring that appropriate action plans are defined to mitigate the risks, the closure of which are drumbeated in order to achieve timely burndown and retirement
Management of OneSat equipment allocation to non-OneSat platforms to ensure all programmatic and technical requirements are met without impact to either
Ensure due diligence of suppliers, and their sub-tiers, via a watchtower process
Management of CFIs and their distribution to suppliers in support of their equipment supply contract
Rigorous management of the supply chain throughout the entire OneSat spacecraft production batch to ensure continuity, the proactive removal of monopoly/duopoly sourcing and any single points of failure for both first and sub-tiers
Accountable for operational procurement phases to ensure OT/OC/OQ delivery of the equipment to the Payload Major Module
ABOUT YOU
HNC or equivalent qualification in an Engineering/Business management discipline (degree level qualification preferred)
Sound skills and knowledge of; Procurement / Engineering / Quality / Manufacturing
Background in Aerospace, preferably Space industry
Ability to anticipate, assess and mitigate risks
Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to persuade, influence and convince
Experience and ability to interpret and implement best practice
