POSITION SUMMARY
• The Prop Stylist is responsible for sourcing props, purchasing, prop run-throughs with customers and prop styling in photography and video studio, ensuring exceptional quality every time.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
• Degree or Diploma, such as visual arts, fine arts or interior design (a combination of education and experience can be substituted)
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience working on set for video and photo productions, interior design, merchandising etc.
• High level knowledge of current trends and styles
• Basic food/cooking knowledge (preferred)
• Excellent organizational skills
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Proven track record of working directly with customers and providing exceptional customer service
• Basic construction skills in building and assembly of visual props (preferred)
• High level of ownership, accountability and initiative
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Creative thinker, excellent problem solver, with outside the box ideas
• Team player, able to work collaboratively cross-department and communicate effectively with management
• Must have an Ontario driver’s license and access to a car. Certain shoots will involve picking up props
JOB DUTIES
(* denotes an “essential function”)
• *Bring Tag shoots to life with stunning propping of in studio and offsite sets for culinary, lifestyle and design shoots
• *Build relationships with all our valued internal and external customers and develop brand expertise
• *Source, purchase and select props for daily productions
• *Perform client walk-throughs of prop selections, providing an exceptional customer experience every single time
• *Fill out virtual prop approval documents
• *Work closely with Food Stylists, Photographers, Videographers and Video Producers to bring the clients’ vision to life
• *Help maintain an orderly and organized prop studio
• *Track budgets & enter expenses
• *Attend creative team meetings & Test Kitchen meetings
WORKING CONDITIONS
The salary range for this position is $45K minimum - $47K maximum per annum depending upon experience. Compensation varies depending on location, and job-related factors such as experience, responsibilities, and business needs.
