Overview:
The System Engineer performs all Post Sales Engineering efforts on new system deployments, system expansions and provides support to Pre-Sales Engineering and Service organizations.
The Systems Engineer tasks are numerous and include contract review, system design, equipment list production, Customer Design Review, staging, equipment ordering, integration and testing. The Systems Engineer works closely with vendors and is accountable for integration of third party systems implementation including logging systems, microwave transport and power systems as well as other MSI systems including CAD, Avigilon, VESTA, Fire Station Alerting Systems.
The Systems Engineer performs integration of both infrastructures and subscribers ensuring proper development and configuration of zone core applications, transport tools, fleet maps, code plug templates, and subscriber applications.
Additional Skills/Knowledge:

Knowledge in radio communication systems, radio propagation, RF, wireless or broadband/LTE
Experience, good understanding, and working knowledge in IP networking, network design methodologies & troubleshooting (Ethernet, TCP/IP, L2/L3, MPLS)
Certifications through CompTIA Network+, Juniper JNCIA-Junos, Nokia NRS1, CCNA or similar
Experience directly working with end-user customers is desirable
Excellent communications skills and the ability to present complex topics to nontechnical audiences.
Self motivated and able to maintain focus in a pressured environment
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Wireless Communications, Telecommunications or Computer Engineering is prefered
