Role: Security Consultant - Resources
Location: London
Please Note: Due to the nature of client work you will be undertaking, you will need to be willing to go through a Security Clearance process as part of this role, which requires 5+ years UK address history at the point of application.

In our team you will:
• Experience working within the Resources sector covering Energy, Utilities, Chemicals and Natural Resources. Our clients include critical national infrastructure and clients of national significance with both IT and OT cyber risks.
• Be part of Accenture's security offerings across our cyber resilience, cyber protect and cyber strategy domains that covers areas like security governance, cloud, AI, cyber strategy, risk assessments, identity and access management and managed security services.
• Enhance skills to implement security compliance measures to complex technical transformation and capability enhancement projects
As a Security Consultant - Resources , you will:
Drive Accenture's cybersecurity initiatives, ensuring the security of both client and internal systems, and providing strategic direction to enhance cybersecurity posture. You will seek out opportunities to create value using different Accenture offerings and services.
Be part of the delivery of complex cyber security projects, ensuring they meet client requirements, are delivered on time, and within budget. This role demands a deep understanding of cyber security principles, excellent project management skills, and the ability to manage client relationships effectively.
We expect you to be distinguished by a deep understanding of your clients’ business needs and to constantly find innovative ways to deliver data-driven outcomes that align with Accenture’s practice offerings and services.
Key responsibilities include:
• Engage with clients to understand their business needs and align security measures accordingly.
• Planning, execution, and delivery of cyber security projects, ensuring alignment with client objectives and compliance with industry standards.
• Communicate cybersecurity strategies, risks, and incidents to senior management and clients.
• Develop and deliver cybersecurity strategies and solutions tailored to client needs.
• Manage delivery of complex security projects in regulated environments
• Conduct cybersecurity strategy, readiness, and discovery assessments; be familiar with security frameworks, compliance requirements, and security operations.
• Provide expert security compliance advice, guidance, and support to both technical and non-technical teams within complex projects (e.g., Enhanced CAF, ISO 27001, NIST).
• Assess and articulate project, information, and business risks and propose proportionate mitigations.
• Produce project deliverables such as threat and risk assessments, security policies and procedures, security assurance management plans, and accreditation evidence.
• Provide leadership and guidance to security project teams to deliver high quality outputs encompassing both technical and procedural controls.
• Support business development efforts by identifying new opportunities and providing cybersecurity expertise during proposal development.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to drive repeat business and referrals.
• Evaluate and manage relationships with cybersecurity vendors and service providers.
• Ensure all project deliverables meet the highest standards of quality and comply with relevant regulations and best practices.
• Understanding of both IT and OT cyber security risks
