About the Sail-U Program:
Sail-U is a multi-week immersive program held at our HQ in Austin, TX where you can expect to learn about Identity Access Management and SailPoint’s products and company history. Learning from the best of the best, you will get to hone your technical skills and establish your career at SailPoint. As part of our SAIL-U program you reinforce our value of diverse and innovative thinking and form part of an exciting cohort of next generation Crew Members.
We are on a mission to deliver the next generation of SaaS identity security excellence and we’re excited you’re interested in setting sail with a leading technology company. You will join our team full-time, beginning in the summer of 2024. You’ll be starting off alongside several other teammates from across the US to officially kick off your career with SailPoint.
At the conclusion of the program, you will settle into your new role and team.
Requirements to participate in the program:
Recent or upcoming grad (Must have graduated in 2023 or before 06/24 deadline)
Foundational coding knowledge
Degree in computer science or relevant technical focus
Ability to work within the US
Ability to travel to Austin, TX and work in person for three weeks starting June 10th, 2024 through June 25th, 2024.
Travel and lodging will be provided
About the role:
As a Data Engineer you will help build and scale the SailPoint Data Platform. We are looking for well-rounded data engineers who are passionate about building and delivering reliable, scalable data infrastructure for SaaS products.
Responsibilities:
Deliver efficient, maintainable, robust solutions to data engineering challenges.
Produce designs and rough estimates, and implement features based on product requirements.
Collaborate with peers on designs, code reviews, and testing.
Produce unit and end-to-end tests to improve code quality and maximize code coverage for new and existing features.
Requirements:
1-2 years of educational/professional software development experience
Strong Java experience
Strong SQL experience
Great communication skills
BS or MS in Computer Science, or a related field
Proficient experience with object-oriented analysis and design skills
Proficient experience with an object-oriented programming language and techniques
Proficient understanding of data modeling
Preferred:
Experience with AWS
Experience working with RDBMS data pipelines or ElasticSearch
Experience with Continuous Delivery
Experience instrumenting code for gathering production performance metrics
BI reporting (Qlik), Snowflake, Kafka, Spring
