About You and this Role

In this role, you will support Dow as an Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) Delivery Specialist located in Freeport, TX. You will lead Environmental compliance and implementation of environmental management systems in one or more fields including environmental, air, and water to maintain the license to operate for one or more facilities. 

Responsibilities

  • Provides Environmental support to a facility on site.
  • Permit(s) requirement analysis and compliance plans including documentation strategies and regulatory applicability assessments.
  • Facilitates/participates in Environmental incident investigations.
  • Performs data collection and reporting for environmental compliance data including emissions reporting.
  • Interprets and applies environmental regulations and safety standards.
  • Provides Environmental training development and delivery, Environmental auditing, Environmental management of change review, and delivery of Environmental programs.
  • Implements Environmental management systems in order to add value to the business, meet business objectives and maintain the license to operate.
  • Conducts Environmental culture diagnosis and gap closure.
  • Interfaces with regulatory authorities for inspections, inquiries, audits and permit negotiations.
  • Implements new or updated Environmental programs.
  • Provides Environmental expertise and input to the plants’ efforts for improving operating discipline and documentation. Serves as a reviewer for the plant MOC (Management of Change) process.
  • Provides updates to environmental permits for their plants and implementation of the requirements management work process.
  • Provides Environmental expertise to define projects necessary for successful achievement of the corporate Environmental goals.
  • Streamlines Environmental work processes by developing/updating operating discipline and associated tools.

Qualifications

  • Must have obtained a minimum of a bachelor's degree by June 2024.
  • A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States.  No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.

Preferred Skills

  • A degree discipline in an Environmental or Engineering discipline.
  • Prior relevant working experience.
  • Knowledge of air permitting, regulations and compliance reporting.

Additional Notes

  • This role is primarily onsite but will align to the Design Your Day flexible workplace strategy to allow flexibility to work both onsite and remotely based on project work and role needs.
  • Domestic relocation assistance is available for this role and may be provided based on eligibility.
