You will contribute to the continual improvement of equipment safety across Dyson; assist with compliance to electrical safety regulations, machine safety regulations and the development and use of appropriate IT tools, platforms, and systems to embed the “way we work” regarding HSE across the global organisation.
Working within the Electrical Safety Team, the role of the Electrical Verification Technician will provide technical overview and conduct verification and testing on Dyson products & prototypes, laboratory test equipment (inhouse designed/ built and off the shelf) & some general equipment (if required to support other business areas).
The role is based within the world renowned RDD facilities, where you will be exposed to Dysons cutting edge product development teams, however the role may require you to support other business areas. Within the role you will identify technical faults against international and local standards, provide advice and guidance to engineering teams, and complete scheduled testing.
The Electrical Safety Team have dedicated test facilities at both main campuses (Malmesbury & Hullavington), although some travel will be required to performed in-situ testing across all 5 UK sites.
You will:
Conduct verification and testing on electrical equipment, including but not limited to; prototype products, test rigs/ machinery, bespoke equipment.
Assist delivery of technical reports against required IEC/ BS Standards.
Input findings onto software platform and maintain records.
