The primary role of the Maintenance Technician is to provide competent and effective maintenance support to plant operations.
Position Related Duties and Key Responsibilities
- Resolves day-to-day technical problems on the production lines and ensures equipment and machinery compliance with production procedures and process specifications.
- Repairs and maintains production equipment, machinery or instruments to ensure that it functions reliably and complies with process specifications.
- responds to emergencies, breakdowns, malfunctions etc. to minimize disruptions to manufacturing processes.
- Maintains maintenance records so that recurring problems can be identified and addressed.
- Prepare diagrams, drawings, charts, calculations and reports for defining reliability problems and recommending solutions.
- Reliability data management, including Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), work order failure code analysis, maintenance of the asset hierarchy, bills of materials, technical library, etc.
- Advise, provide training in, and implement continuous improvement in the company.
- Manage and optimize Preventive and Predictive Maintenance Programs including systematically defining, developing, monitoring and refining the preventive/predictive maintenance process in pursuit of optimization.
- Facilitate Equipment Criticality strategy formulation and ranking sessions, as well as conducting Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
- Ensure that Predictive Maintenance technologies (e.g., oil analysis, vibration analysis, thermography, ultrasonics, online and offline motor testing, etc.) are correctly applied on manufacturing assets.
- Develop and implement changes to equipment maintenance plans based on failure modes, historical data, reliability principles and best practices.
- Work with equipment manufacturers factory and site acceptance testing.
- Develop short and long-term continuous improvement plans to mitigate equipment failures.
- Design maintenance SOPs, to enable employees to perform maintenance tasks and minor repairs.
Education and Additional Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s, Associates, or Technical Degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience.
- 3-5 years of manufacturing maintenance experience, minimum
- 3 years of equipment reliability experience, preferred.
- Mechanical/Electrical experience maintaining production equipment in a continuous production environment.
- Demonstrated Experience in Structure of a Maintenance Organization with implementation of Maintenance Planning tools.
- Demonstrated experience in an ISO or documented environment.
- Experience with performance management maintenance metrics for Preventative and Predictive Maintenance.
- Experience with Industrial Electrical Writing, Mechanical/Electrical Devices, Circuits, Robotics, PLC and computer controlled.
- Experience with computer driven maintenance and planning software
- Experience with analysis tools to improve equipment reliability.

Pay Range:
$64,665 - $87,487
Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.
