Job Description Summary:
In this Senior Manager, Design role, you will partner with internal teams and external agencies to develop design ecosystems that leverage our brands and create interest and engagement across retailers, shoppers and consumers. The scope of work will be focused on the US portfolio of brands, products and categories but may support design efforts on key global initiatives.
Function Related Activities/Key Responsibilities:
Develop design ecosystems (inclusive of packaging, social, shopper, digital, motion, graphics, and typography) with agency partners that is aligned with the strategic intent of the Integrated Marketing Plan with consistent quality and efficient delivery expectations.
As an individual contributor, partner with Brand leads, Creative Strategy and Content leads, and Connections Architects to understand business growth strategies and objectives, key priorities, and content/creative vision and objectives to ensure end-to-end design opportunities are consistent with overall brand goals and creative intent.
Thinking analytically and creatively about the role of various forms of content and developing solutions on how visual identity systems should be applied to strengthen the power of the brand and its message across all platforms and media.
Work within established visual identity systems to generate new to market consumer experiences that are seamless across any brand touchpoint, multidimensional and relevant to consumers and shoppers.
Partner with external agencies to develop authentic and compelling design and tone of voice tools, such as logo style guides, go-to-market asset frameworks, directives and guidelines. Nurture relationships with agency partners and external creative partners across industry to identify and deliver high-quality, cost-effective deliverables.
Direct and execute end-to-end experience design projects inclusive of budget tracking, supervising creative design agencies and cross-industry relevant communications partners, develop and manage timelines in order to achieve outcomes as outlined in the communications strategy.
Span of work is focused on the US portfolio of categories & brands, as well as support of key global initiatives across networked organization.
This is an Atlanta, GA based position. Hybrid, 3 days a week in the office (Tuesday-Thursday).
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Design
Related Work Experience:
Minimum:
5 or more years of end-to-end experience design development and creative experience with understanding of cross-consumer journey experience opportunities across connections points
Expertise in creative concept generation, brand and consumer strategy application, design strategy, logo design, evaluation of third-party rights and capabilities, agency management and execution.
Demonstrated strength in project management, cross-functional project and deliverables management, budget tracking and stewardship and ability to work effectively in an agile, networked environment.
Ability to understand how to integrate brand identity across multiple touch points.
Ability to work in Agile cross-functional teams.
Preferred
Hands on design experience paired with design management experience, responsible for the creative strategy and high-level thinking behind design solutions.
Proven experience amplifying brands from existing iconic assets all the way through having led brand identity systems from the ground up.
Strong understanding of packaging constraints and manufacturability.
Ability to translate business objectives into design outputs.
Portfolio submission is required.
