Ready to make an impact? Peraton is seeking an experienced Cloud Solutions Architect to develop TT&C, Satellite Mission Management, and Scheduling solutions in support of our mission critical customers and the OS/COMET COTS software product. 100% remote/telework!
Responsibilities:
Perform requirements analysis and design cloud solutions to meet scalability, capacity, availability, performance, storage, cost, security, CI/CD, and application/platform requirements. Integrate tools and services for cloud computing, such as monitoring, data analysis, and networks. Lead, conduct, and present trade studies/results to the customer. Migrate an on-premise systems, in whole or part, to the cloud.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- BS/BA and a minimum of 8 years of engineering experience
- Certified Cloud Architect (or four years of experience designing large cloud solutions)
- Experience with cloud technologies (preferably AWS, else Azure or Google)
- Experience with Containers and Kubernetes (or similar technologies)
- Experience using coding languages such as Perl, Java, PowerShell, PHP, Ruby, Python, etc.
- Experience with Cloud Architecture patterns, services, and strategies (including IaaS, PaaS, Security, Compute, Storage, and Networking).
- Experience with code-defined infrastructure, configuration management tools, and CI/CD.
- Excellent written, verbal, and analytical skills.
- Experience with TT&C for ground systems and spacecraft, especially with commercial products such as OS/COMET.
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
- United States Citizen
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced SQL server
- Experience working in an Agile development environment.
- Experience in Satellite Ground Station Systems – Command and Control applications for complex, multi-application systems, as well as Satellite Mission Planning Software.
- Experience in space systems technologies and support equipment.
- Experience with TT&C for ground systems and spacecraft, especially with commercial products such as OS/COMET
- Experience using the Atlassian Tool Suite (Jira, Confluence, Crucible, Risk Register)
- Experience using Git, GitHub, IBM/Rational DOORS

Target Salary Range
$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
