Reporting to the Senior Event Services Managers, this role focuses on coordinating diverse events, ensuring exceptional client and guest experiences, and managing end-to-end event logistics.
This role will pay a salary of $50,000 to $60,000. For FT roles: Benefits: Health, Dental and Vision insurance, 401(k) savings plan, 401(k) matching, and paid time off (vacation days, sick days, and 12 holidays).
The Bank of Oklahoma Center, also known as the BOK Center, is located downtown and serves as the premier sports and entertainment venue of the greater Tulsa region. The Cox Business Convention Center (CBCC), located in the Arena District in downtown Tulsa, is a modern and award-winning venue providing over 275,000 square feet of flexible meeting space. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Education and/or Experience• Three to five (3-5+) plus years of increasingly responsible experience in event management in a stadium, arena, convention center or public assembly facility setting.• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university with major coursework in facility management, hospitality management, business, or related field.• Trained Crowd Manager certification or ability to obtain certification.• First Aid, CPR, AED certification or ability to obtain certification.•Customer service experience is preferred.Skills and Abilities• Professional oral and written communication skills in English.• Ability to manage time and multiple tasks efficiently.• Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office applications, word processing, email, internet, and data entry systems.• Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid drivers’ license.• Knowledge of operational characteristics of a variety of event types.• Ability to identify the needs of users of the facility.• Knowledge of crowd management and control techniques.• Knowledge of customer service practices.• Knowledge of principles of supervision, scheduling, and employee training.• Demonstrated familiarity with facility use contracts.• Knowledge of fire and public safety regulations.• Knowledge of A/V equipment and electronic systems in public assembly facilities preferred but not required.• Experience with budget preparation and control.• Familiarity with terminology used in entertainment/convention/public assembly settings.• Experience with AutoCAD and/or Social Tables is preferred.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
