Job Classification Description:
Describe job and include job duties with any special requirements: Reads and comprehends various documents (work order, procedure, guideline, manual, part blueprint, process specification, etc.) to set up and control metal finishing equipment to perform anodizing of aluminum, passivation of stainless steel, and chemical conversion coatings on aluminum. Masks parts using tape, plugs, and liquid maskants. Racks and unpacks parts. Maintains attentiveness to process details and equipment (i.e. timers, temperature controllers and indicators, rectifier amp and volt meters, and other associated equipment). Maintains all required logs, documents, and records as required by process control documentation. May be required to participate in the addition of chemicals to process solutions, in the periodic cleaning of process tanks, and in the laboratory testing of process solutions.
Experience Required:
Minimum 1 year experience operating an anodizing line.
Ability to obtain confidential clearance.
Knowledge Required:
A practical knowledge of such as: setting up anodizing tanks, anodizing aluminum and passivating stainless steel. Familiarity with MIL-PRF-8625 is preferred.
Essential Physical: Maximum weight to be handled will be aligned with Environmental Safety and Health governing documentation. The majority of the work is to be performed in a sitting position. May occasionally perform duties in a standing, kneeling or squatting position. Good eyesight and ability to distinguish color is necessary.
Required Skills:
A practical knowledge of such as: ability to perform basic math operations including but not limited to addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Requires bending, reaching, and lifting of objects within V2X EHS guidelines. Must be able to read, interpret, and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Must use provided personal protective equipment as required by V2X EHS guidelines when performing certain responsibilities in an environment that includes multiple types of chemical solutions.
Desired Skills:
Two to five years' experience operating anodizing line.
Active Confidential Clearance is a plus.
Education Requirements:
High School degree or GED equivalent.
