The V2X C-12 Modification Center located in San Angelo, TX performing Aircraft Condition Inspections on US Air Force and US Navy C-12 aircraft is seeking a Ground Support Equipment Servicer to perform general maintenance and servicing of our ground support equipment. This equipment includes vehicles (trucks, golf carts, forklifts), man lifts, aircraft stands, ladders, tool boxes, test equipment, compressors, swamp coolers, air conditioning units, shelving, cabinets, and any support equipment that may need to be maintained and kept clean. We are looking for an individual who takes pride in their organizational skills, cleanliness of equipment, and overall appearance of the facility.
Duties and Responsibilities
The primary functions of a “Ground Support Equipment Servicer” are:
· Maintaining, servicing, and cleaning all ground support equipment and facilities:
· Vehicles (trucks, vans, golf carts, forklift, man lift)
· Aircraft stands and ladders
· Toolboxes and tools (lights, cords, test equipment, etc.)
· Compressors and attaching equipment
· Swamp coolers and portable air conditioning units
· Shelving, cabinets, and any other support equipment that may need to be serviced or kept clean.
Knowledge and Skills
The position of “GSE Servicer” requires the following:
Maintenance experience and skills (5 years) relative to inspection repair, servicing, and cleaning of ground support equipment. Strong work ethic, demonstrated experience, and skills in a manufacturing environment. Abilities to multitask. Knowledgeable in interpreting and using equipment manuals. Strong communication skills are essential. Compliance with work standards, policies, and procedures. Coordinate with other employees and leads. Interface with customers and end users effectively. Conform to and comply with production standards, procedures, schedule, and safety. Performs other duties as required.
· Must qualify for and obtain a DOD “Secret” security clearance and Passport (if requested) to support contractual obligations.
Educational Qualifications
§ High School Diploma
· A minimum of five (5) years of recent hands-on maintenance experience.
· Ability to read and interpret OEM manuals and other technical-related data.
Position Competencies Required
· Must be able to travel to other locations requiring overnight stay.
· Must be able to lift 30 lbs. routinely and 50 lbs. on occasion.
· Environmental conditions are diverse and could range from an office environment where there is no physical discomfort to an environment where inclement weather may subject individuals to severe changes in temperature, less than adequate lighting, dust, and wind. On occasion, individuals may be required to work in areas where high noise hazards will prevail and hearing protection is required. Office work conditions will expend approximately 10% of the candidate’s time and approximately 90% will be expended in more harsh conditions.
