For our Europe Regional Office, in London, we are looking for a VIE Junior Business Analyst (f/m/d).
THE ROLE:
This VIE program will enable you to develop yourself in an international environment, which encourages an innovative and entrepreneurial mindset among our colleagues, fostering a collaborative and inclusive working environment where talent thrives, and diversity is embedded across our culture and operations. You will have the opportunity to be empowered, the challenge and transform your ideas into actions.
This VIE lasting 24 months is divided into 2 parts, the first 12 months in London, in our Europe Regional Office, then the next 12 months to be determined later in one of our agencies across Europe.
Under the leadership of the Regional Commercial & Sales team, your mission is to identify business areas that can be improved to increase efficiency and strengthen business processes within the Region. You will bridge the gap between IT and the business using data analytics to help guide our organization to improvement.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create and automate weekly/ monthly reports
- Prepare business requirements and specifications
- Follow up and monitor delivery status
- Identify key metrics for improvement
- Develop processes and procedures to ensure business solutions meet strategic goals
- Work with team members to collect, and analyze data
- Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders
- Design, write and document functional requirements
- Continuously improve existing reporting tools and strive to develop new ones to improve efficiency
PROFILE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- According to French law, the VIE is only open to applicants aged 18 to 28 years old who are European citizens and does not already live in the country of destination.
- Preferably master’s degree in business administration, with a background in engineering or finance (shipping industry is a plus).
- Working knowledge of SQL, relational databases, and data visualization
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other
- Good communication, presentation, and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. French or any other European language is a plus.
- Data visualization and data analysis experience required
- Team player. Proactive, highly motivated, result oriented individual with strong organizational skills.
- Results driven and deadline-oriented
- Excellent interpersonal skills and can easily be adaptable to new environments.
