About the Team
The Modelling Centre of Excellence (MCoE) is a large global team, responsible for creating and maintaining the actuarial models across 6 Swiss Re Life & Health (L&H) Reinsurance locations. The MCoE in the wider context of Swiss Re Reinsurance is part of the Life & Health Business Management division, which is responsible for the inforce management of Swiss Re's global L&H Reinsurance business.
About the Role
An exciting opportunity for an actuarial student to join the MCoE team has become available to support the migration of the actuarial models to AXIS. This project will create AXIS actuarial models which will ultimately replace the existing RAFM models. This is a great opportunity to join the project team and be involved in the end-to-end migration process including design, implementation, testing and handover of AXIS models.
About You
As an actuarial intern with a good understanding of life insurance/reinsurance industry, the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate sound technical actuarial knowledge and aptitude for understanding and using actuarial models including the actuarial assumptions, data, methodology inputs and resulting model output (cashflow and reserve projections).
The ideal candidate will have the following skills/experience:
• Excellent understanding of fundamental actuarial concepts. Completion of some actuarial exams would be preferable.
• Exposure to some computer science, coding languages or actuarial modelling would be ideal. Training will be provided as needed.
• Excellent organisational and analytical skills with attention to detail
• Good communication, both written and verbal
• Ability to work reliably, efficiently, transparently, accurately and deliver to deadlines
• Desire to learn from highly skilled actuarial professionals to grow your professional development
