Our intern program offers you the opportunity to learn about Energy Underwriting with a view to pursuing a career with a leading global provider of insurance and other insurance-based forms of risk transfer.
Throughout the program, you will be based within the Energy Underwriting department in London and receive on-the-job guidance and support from qualified professionals.
This is a 10-week internship with an expected start date on 24th of June 2024.
About the Role
You will be supported and mentored by the Energy Underwriting team in London in reviewing underwriting submissions with the objective of writing profitable business.
Day to day tasks will vary however, they will be set to help you develop an understanding of the business and the insurance industry. You will have the opportunity to :
Work with underwriters, risk engineers and claims teams
Gain an understanding of the Energy lines of business, namely Upstream, Downstream, Power and Mining
Tasks will include general administrative and support duties, assistance with pre-underwriting reviews, setting up policies, dealing with internal stakeholders, brokers and clients.
About You
We are looking for a detail-oriented intern with good communication and organizational skills. Are you someone who has completed or is in the process of completing an Undergraduate (or higher) degree and brings:
Experience and Interest in Data Analysis
Proficiency in Excel – able to develop pivot tables, etc
Proficiency in PowerPoint #LI-Hybrid
