We are currently seeking a Software Developer III to join our team in Dayton, Ohio (US-OH), United States (US).
Job Description:
Analyzes and evaluates application requirements to determine appropriate systems software solutions. With systems and users requirements in mind, designs, evaluates, codes, configures, tests and documents applications utilizing relevant programming language. Participates in implementation, roll out, migration, integration, upgrades, testing, performance tuning, research and development. Documents procedures for installation and maintenance. Incorporates state-of-the-art concepts and practices to facilitate system functionality and facilitate continuous improvement.
Job Duties:
- Acts as an "agent of change” and continuously fosters the sharing of technical information across the organization.
- Assesses the value of technology trends and identifies opportunities for incorporating these into the client’s IT architecture.
- Assists in creating the strategic technical and direction to the programming / application function.
- Point of contact between IT and key business users / senior leadership in defining IT solution based on business needs.
- Serves as technical consultant to senior leadership in the client’s IT organization and functional user groups.
- Assists in driving change in application architecture, methodology or programming procedures.
Basic Requirements:
- Minimum 8 years software developer experience (Java, C++, HTML, PL/SQL, Unix Shell)
- Ability to pass a Tier 1 NACI investigation
Preferred Qualifications:
- relevant DoD asset management and USAF IT logistics/financials
- Undergraduate degree/bachelors degree.
