Primary Purpose: The Senior Financial Lease Accountant will join the Tapestry Europe Finance Control team for a 12-month fixed term contract and play an integral role in the production of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting internal & external audits as required. 

 

The successful individual will leverage their proficiency in Lease Accounting to…

  • Support the Finance Control team with monthly close process, including posting journal entries, completing balance sheet reconciliations, and closing the legal entity books
  • Process monthly changes to leases in the lease accounting tool (Tririga)
  • Own all lease related journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations in Blackline, involving significant interaction with Legal and the Global Lease Accounting teams
  • Develop strong cross functional relationships with FP&A, Legal, and Global Accounting teams
  • Assist in maintaining and improving internal controls and processes as the finance function continues to mature
  • Support the wider control team with ongoing projects and initiatives

 

The accomplished individual will possess...

  • A Bachelor’s Degree or ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified/part-qualified
  • Minimum of 3 years+ accounting experience at a multinational public company or major accounting firm
  • Experience with lease accounting is essential (either in industry or practice)
  • Strong technical accounting skills, including experience with US GAAP
  • Experience with SAP and Blackline is preferred
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Self-starter, takes initiative, highly motivated
  • Ability to multitask and be flexible regarding changing priorities and tight deadlines
  • Ability to perform critical analysis and thinking, prioritize and problem solve
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • European languages is a plus
