Job dimensions
As an Engineering Planner / Administrator you will be responsible for planning and coordinating
various maintenance activities with internal and external resource.
The planner will liaise with service providers, schedule and raising purchase requisition for service
visits, maintaining company and statutory obligations.
The planner will focus on providing a high standard of service to ensure maximum Plant and Site
Services utilisation, together with Engineering Administration support.
Activities
Scheduling & monitoring of planned maintenance of all equipment and utilities on site.
• Schedule and monitor – Activities of Site Services providers.
• Schedule and monitor – Statutory Inspection.
• Control, development and maintain the CMMS, including setting up budgets, inputting of cost
centres and codes, producing reports for committed spend against budget.
• Record and monitor Monthly engineering spend and produce reports.
• Participate in weekly Planned maintenance review.
• Arrange Site attendance of Service Contractors.
• Provide a focal point for Mechanical, Electrical and Site Services problems.
• Raise work requests for appropriate Engineering Trades or Service providers.
• Raise purchase requisitions for Service Contracts and book in on completion.
• Maintain and update Plant and Equipment Asset Register.
• Provide weekly and monthly reports. KPI’s, Downtime, RCA, CI.
• Maintain and update Planned Maintenance Procedures.
• Maintain central Engineering filing system.
• Maintain Services Contractors database.
• Schedule and monitor the Calibration of Weigh Scales, Balances, and Measuring equipment.
• Support the business in various internal and external audits.
• Provide General Administration support to the engineering team.
• Assist with ordering of Stock/ Spares as required by the engineering or production department.
• Carry out any reasonable task as requested by Engineering manager.
COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
Essential
• GCSE or equivalent.
• Administration qualifications including good CMMS knowledge
• Engineering/manufacturing background would be advantageous
Desirable
• Strong organisational skills
• Good computer skills, Microsoft office, excel, power point etc.
• Ability to work with others in a team setting.
• Positive attitude and high energy.
