Offsite Material Assurance Operative

You will be based in our Client's Warehouse at Bristol - Avonmouth supporting materials coordination for the MEH Alliance at Hinkley Point C. As a Materials Assurance Operative you will have a good understanding of Asset Management software and you will maintain accurate records of materials. You will be asked to produce various reports and provide administrative support to Off-Site management team. This role is ideal for someone who likes varied workload as it is balanced between asset inspections and administrative tasks.
Summary of Role:
There is a large amount of permanent installation material for the MEH Alliance transiting through warehouse locations.
This role supports the MEH Alliance by capturing permanent material information within NNB storage facilities.
Main Responsibilities:
o Support the Offsite Material Lead by inspecting the receipt of permanent material and collating asset information.
o Learn and develop a full understanding of the material coding procedure and Asset Management software.
o Support the development of the MEH material profile and reporting systems.
o Accurate and consistent recognition and communication of asset information to support material call off.
o Provide accurate confirmation lists to the stakeholders and support any queries on receipted goods.
o Provide regular reporting of inventory inspections and issues.
o Support and maintain a positive Nuclear Safety Culture.

Health & Safety:
Health and Safety responsibilities
Ensure work is carried out in accordance with site/department procedures and training provided.
• Comply with the WJ Health and Safety Policy, procedures, and protocols always.
• Report any health and safety concerns to your line manager.
• Once Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) has been issued ensure that you always keep it serviceable and report any defects to your line manager.
• Always ensure while at work you are wearing the correct PPE- at HPC this is 6-point PPE.
• If you are operating machinery/plant/vehicles, you must operate safely in accordance with the instruction and training provided.
• Always set a good example.
Required Knowledge & Experience:
Essential
• Excellent Microsoft package knowledge including Excel/Word.
• Demonstrate an understanding of stock management or similar systems.
• Demonstrate the ability to quickly learn and understand complex topics.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Can achieve Security Clearance (BPSS or Higher).
• Experience working within large scale projects.
• Stores Coordination / Management Experience.
Desirable
• Good understanding of Mechanical & Electrical material used in construction projects.
• Proven track record in nuclear power / other large project experience considered.
• Positive, can-do mentality.
Qualifications:
Essential
• CITB HSE Test.
• Driving License
Site Specific Information:
• You must be able to provide a 3-year work history and required vetting process in line with HPC protocols.
• You must be able to obtain the HPC pass
Terms conditions & Benefits:
Salary starting from £27,500 - depending on experience
8.5% bonus
Working 39 hours per week (Monday - Friday)
