Mechanical Construction Delivery Manager – Rotating Equipment

£525 per day umbrella – long term contract
Overview:
An exciting opportunity to join thousands of workers across Britain who are working hard to build two new nuclear reactors at Hinkley Point C, one of the UK’s largest construction projects. The first in a new generation of nuclear power stations in Britain providing reliable zero-carbon nuclear electricity for around six million homes, essential for our energy security.
The Construction Delivery Manager (CDM) will support the delivery of an area within a specific section of the Mechanical Works – rotating equipment (turbinea). This responsibility extends to all construction and related activities, reporting to the Senior Construction Delivery Manager and includes logistics planning and implementation in collaboration with the site-wide logistics team, programming, and planning, monitoring and close out of authorities’ obligations and conditions and client liaison.

Requirements:
• Delivering projects, including construction sequencing, recovery plans and resource allocation.
• Experience with Rotating Equipment, ideally turbines necessary.
• Good understanding of the post holder’s obligations under the CDM Regulations.
• Able to write informative, concise and meaningful reports.
• Possess excellent organisation and communication skills.
• Qualifications in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent vocational training and experience.
• SMSTS or IOSH qualification holder.
• Able to deliver results when working under pressure.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
• Experience of operating in a high-security environment is advantageous.
• Experience within the Nuclear environment is advantageous but can be offset by experience within large Mechanical Engineering/Building/MEH projects.
