Key Responsibilities:
Follow Appropriate GE Policies, Procedures and complete necessary documentation
Ability to take ownership / responsibility for both quality and safety whilst in the workplace
Follow written instructions provided on engineering documents such as weld procedure specifications (WPS) and drawings to ensure quality
Experience in large scale Power Station construction / overhauls or other heavy industries
Experience in efficiently operating the following equipment including but not limited to the following,
Experience in efficiently joining materials including but not limited to the following,
Experience in efficiently joining product types plate and pipe of various sizes including but not limited to the following,
Comfortable using mechanical cutting tools such as grinders and Tungsten sharpening machines
Ability to safely operate and have knowledge of mobile heating torches such as propane
Work under strict Foreign Material Exclusion rules
Qualifications/Experience :
Level 2 Welding Apprenticeship or an equivalent Apprenticeship in a Welding discipline or Level 2 Diploma in a welding discipline
Minimum of 3 years experience as a Welder in a relevant industry
BS EN ISO 9606 Coded Welding Qualifications
Possess advanced skills and applies the fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of their particular field of specialization
Demonstrates individual & team skills
Fluent in English language
Strong organisational skills
Strong oral and written communication skills
