Working pattern: ability to work any 5 shifts out of 7 in a week
Working hours: 8 hour shifts (start & finish times will vary but will be between 0400 & 2000hrs)
We are seeking an individual with strong customer service and interpersonal skills to supervise car parking activities at local Park & Ride sites and within surrounding towns and villages to ensure all vehicles are parked correctly and within project guidelines. You will be proactively engaging with customers, colleagues, local residents and communities to assist with the smooth running of the project.
Somerset Passenger Solutions provide the passenger transport needs for the largest construction project in Europe - Hinkley Point C. We transport thousands of clients to and from the site every day, working 24/7 to ensure that construction remains on schedule.
Summary of role & main responsibilities:
Checking vehicles are parking in accordance with the car park guidelines, issuing required penalty notices and reporting any breaches.
Championing behavioural safety and having positive safety conversations to drive change whilst challenging unsafe behaviours.
Providing counts of all vehicles parking at park & ride locations.
Carrying out validation checks of parking permits in line with the expected levels set out by the Head of Customer Services.
Issuing new parking permits & encouraging permit holders to park in accordance with the Car Park guidelines.
Engaging with local residents and helping to build positive relationships in local communities.
Monitoring the occurrence of fly parking in surrounding towns and villages by completing daily patrols and escalating any issues to the Car Parking Manager.
Supervising all car parking activities at Park and Ride sites and on street in surrounding towns and villages.
Qualifications & knowledge
Essential:
IOSH Working Safely (Training provided)
Banks Person Trained (Training provided)
Driving Licence
Desirable:
L3 Team Leader qualification
PCV licence holder
Influencer Training
First Aid
CSCS or CCNSG
L3 Health & Safety Supervisor
Knowledge of the transport sector
Skills & experience
Essential:
Supervisory experience.
Good understanding of IT.
A flexible approach to working hours as we are a 24/7 business.
Desirable:
Experienced in delivering a high level of customer service and dealing with customer complaints.
Management experience
