The Opportunity...
EDF EPR Engineering UK (EPR-E) established in 2023, is responsible for delivering the design for a number of NI buildings, systems and equipment contracts for the Hinkley Point C EPR Project through an integrated team, support to HPC construction and commissioning activities, and preparing design replication feasibility and engineering activities for the Sizewell C Project. Therefore, a Technical Directorate is being created, responsible for the engineering disciplines and technical expertise required to deliver the different engineering projects through integrated teams in EPR-E.
For the SZC Project, work on the replication strategy and some early design studies are already underway and being delivered and managed from both France and UK.
As a Project Quality Manager for the SZC project, you'll be handling Quality aspects, covering EPR-E and France scopes in line with the Management System and contract requirements. Acting as the representative and delegate of the Project Director, you’ll be addressing Quality matters with customers and suppliers within the project's scope.

What you’ll be doing…
- Managing the Integrated Management System (IMS) for Edvance and EPR-E, ensuring proper documentation for project stakeholders.
- Developing and improving Quality Management documentation, such as Project Quality Plan and Project instructions, in alignment with Management System principles and SZC Replication strategy, considering contract specifics.
- Promoting widespread understanding and implementation of Quality processes and instructions within project teams.
- Handling adverse Quality situations, including Audit findings, condition reports, and non-conformances, until resolution is achieved.
- Establishing and monitoring quality targets, evaluating project quality management effectiveness through audits, non-conformances, corrective actions, and client issues.
- Creating and managing a network of correspondents for timely detection, handling, and resolution of Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) across the business.
- Managing client relationships on transverse quality topics, including negotiation and establishment of quality targets/milestones.
- Preparing for and conducting internal and external audits of project activities.
Who you are…
Your background may include some of the following:
- Degree Level engineering/ science or equivalent in a relevant subject.
- Over 5 years of experience in a quality-related engineering discipline.
- Leadership experience in a quality-related engineering role.
- Experience in Nuclear New Build, with a focus on EPR or PWR projects.
- Thorough understanding of Quality Management systems, regulations, nuclear industry operating practices, and best practices.
- Ability to establish, achieve, and maintain the highest standards of safety and quality.
- Working knowledge of the French language would be advantageous.
