POSITION OVERVIEW
dormakaba is seeking a Field Service Technician based in Columbia, MD. This position will be responsible for the installation and service of a variety of doors and related materials, equipment, and control devices.
HIRING SALARY RANGE: $25.00-$45.00 hourly plus overtime, as needed. Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Please visit our career site for more information on benefits.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Carry out corrective service and preventative maintenance on a range of equipment in a professional and customer-oriented manner
- Install dormakaba equipment in commercial buildings
- Service equipment to the customers’ ongoing satisfaction and setting minimum performance standards
- Project a customer service image through competent service procedures, professional personal presentation, and communication with all customers
- Maintain accurate service data through diligent and timely use of all service documentation
WHAT WE REQUIRE
- Valid current driver’s license
- Mechanical knowledge
- Understanding of mechanical and electrical equipment
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues

- Ability to lift and carry at least 50 pounds; 35 pounds over the shoulder. Frequent standing, stooping, crawling, twisting, bending, pushing, pulling, climbing and working overhead
- Ability to use power and manual tools.
- Ability to safely operate an assigned company vehicle.

- Electrical license or knowledge of basic electronics and electrical theory, principles of microprocessor-controlled equipment and multi-meter instruments
- AAADM certification
