POSITION OVERVIEW
dormakaba is seeking a first shift (6AM – 2:30PM) Assembler based in Chino, CA. The Assembler is responsible for fitting, assembling, and testing electro-mechanical components, sub-assemblies and final assemblies while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work space.
HOURLY HIRING RANGE: $17/hr - $19/hr plus mandatory overtime as needed (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data). WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Read and interpret instructions, schematics, blueprints, and drawings.
- Inspect parts for flaws and imperfections.
- Operate various production assembly machines and use hand tools to assemble products.
- Connect component lead wires to printed circuit boards or routes, and connects wires between individual component leads and connectors, terminals and contact points.
- Tag and/or mark information on components, identify information on parts, and perform functional tests using various equipment.
- Inspect, test, and adjust completed sub-assemblies to ensure they meet specifications, tolerances, and customer order requirements.
WHAT WE REQUIRE
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read and write English effectively
- Mathematical skills;i.e., the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure
- Ability to read and interrupt bills of material, work orders and blueprints
- Ability to use test equipment, hand and power tools

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
- This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
