HSE Manager at Vestas

Department

Construction HSE Management is responsible for implementing and monitoring site-specific health, safety and environmental operations and tasks at North Central Europe on and offshore projects. It is a department of committed people consisting of HSE managers, HSE Coordinators and HSE professionals both Vestas Employees and externals subcontractors.  

 

Responsibilities

  • Prepare documents and plan the construction projects according to the described deliverables
  • Constantly look out for possible new HSE improvement areas
  • To review, and revise when required, documents in support of the Health, Safety and Environmental Management System
  • Developing the Safe System of Work and assist in the implementation on sites
  • Conduct contractor reviews
  • Carry out Incident Investigations
  • Carry out site inspections and audits

 

Qualifications

  • Experience in HSE offshore project management or in complex large scale construction projects
  • Experience in HSE management, assurance, risk management and implementing HSE policies
  • Recognised Health, Safety or Environmental qualifications (ex. NEBOSH, IOSH, etc.)
  • Knowledge of HSE legislation and the ability to interpret government approved codes of practices to ensure legal compliance
  • Good IT skills (SharePoint, Outlook, Microsoft Office)
  • Wind energy industry experience
  • Fluency in English, both verbally and in writing

Additional information

Primary work location: Aarhus, Denmark, Warrington, UK or Szczecin, Poland

This position requires up to 80 days travel per year.
