Vestas are a world leading, renewable energy company that develop, build, install and maintain wind turbines all over the globe. We are currently recruiting for 1st Line technical Support for our new Tools storage facility in Seaham, County Durham. If you have great technical skills and are good at working structured, then this may be the ideal opportunity for you!
Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Providing technical assistance
- Evaluating the condition of failure, requests, fault, error and categorising the issue
- Performing root cause analysis and escalating/forwarding to the necessary departments for actions
- Escalating technical bugs, issues, failures to relevant teams to ensure the product/service/support is continuously enhanced and thereby preventing breakdowns and downtimes
- Continuously monitoring the product, service or solution under responsibility and provide input to update the standard issue handling documentation
- Documenting the relevant information on any support
Qualifications
- Electrical or mechanical education + working experience in the wind industry. Relevant Engineering education, such as Electrical, Mechanical, or Marine Engineering would be an asset
- Experience in the wind industry is highly preferred
