Role description
The Doncaster business unit has manufactured glass containers since 1968 and is part of a leading supplier in glass packaging solutions for the world’s leading brands.
Due to an internal promotion, we are currently seeking to recruit a Cullet Tester based in the Batch & Furnace Department. This crucial role ensures the glass cullet delivered to site, which is used as part of the manufacturing process is of a high standard, so the cullet may be recycled and utilised to produce quality glass for beverage containers and glass food jars.
Responsibilities:
- Health and Safety for themselves and fellow work colleagues
- Process incoming cullet to company specification to ensure quality is maintained
- Identify quality problems and report to the relevant management team
- Daily glass testing and analysis
- Maintain accurate records and adhere to company quality procedures
- Operate vehicles required to transport batch equipment and raw materials around the plant
Required skills / qualifications:
- Attention to detail
- The ability to operate equipment and machinery which includes driving vehicles e.g. Forklift truck
- The capability to follow company policy and procedures
- IT/Computer skills and able to record data accurately
- The confidence to communicate to both internal and external personnel
- A commitment towards continuous improvement
- The desire to demonstrate the company core values at all time
What we offer
- Minimum £23,495 - £28,300 Maximum per Annum
- Salary sacrifice pension scheme with up to 10% matched contributions
- Monday to Thursday 7.00am to 3.00pm and Friday 7.00am to 2.30pm
- 25 days holiday + 8 statutory holidays
