Position Summary: Project Managers work closely with leadership to ensure project scope and direction are communicated effectively to accurately meet customer needs.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate internal and external resources for the execution of projects;
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget;
- Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility;
- Ensure resource availability and allocation;
- Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress;
- Manage changes to the scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques;
- Measure project performance using the appropriate tools and techniques;
- Report and escalate to management as needed;
- Successfully manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders;
- Perform risk management to minimize project risks;
- Establish and maintain relationships with outside vendors; and
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
Experience / Skills:
- Bachelor degree in Project Management, Business Management, Welding Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent preferred;
- 2+ years’ experience in Project / Program Management;
- Previous, proven demonstrated excellent team playing abilities with organizational and time management skills;
- Excellent client-facing and internal communications skills;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Relevant experience leading custom engineered projects;
- Technical knowledge of engineered robotic welding systems;
- Ability to negotiate and manage contractual arrangements;
- Ability to understand system layouts and/or technical manuals;
- Ability to develop and deliver presentations;
- Knowledge of budgeting, cost estimating, and fiscal management principles and procedures;
- Ability to provide technical guidance and leadership to project team;
- Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities;
- Knowledge of the operating practices of fabrication and manufacturing;
- Ability to assess contract compliance and product/service quality;
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint); and
- Strong working knowledge of Project Management Tools like Smartsheet or Microsoft Project is a plus.
Nonessential Skills and Experience:
- Safety (OSHA, SDS), ANSI (RIA) Standards;
- Microsoft Office Suite;
- ERP Software (Epicor);
- Smartsheet Project Management Software;
- CAD Software (Solidworks, PTC Windchill, PTC Creo); and
- PMP certification a plus.
