Job Summary
Join us at The Paramount Club, an exciting new members club opening in spring 2024 at the prestigious 1301 Avenue of the Americas. The club’s F&B operations will center on an all-day restaurant experience, complimented by a casual barista bar café, sports lounge, wellness studio, events auditorium, boardroom & conference center, and business lounge.
Working as the Sous Chef at The Paramount Club, you will be responsible for supporting the successful operations of culinary services including a restaurant (serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, Monday through Friday) and catering. This position will exercise your culinary and creative skills while offering a desirable Monday through Friday schedule (no holidays or weekends). Your shift times will vary but will generally occur between the hours of 12noon and 11pm. The club is located in the vibrant heart of midtown, conveniently located near all major transit options.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create unforgettable culinary experiences for our clients and guests
- Support costs and controls expenditures for the account
- Plans and creates menus
- Menu creation and execution for catered events
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of culinary experience, preferably in restaurants, hotels, or luxury F&B.
- Comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
- Catering experience
- High standards of personal integrity and ethical behavior
- Outstanding hospitality skills
- Strong creative skills, paired with a demonstrated ability to execute.
- High volume, complex foodservice operations experience - highly desirable
