Job Summary
Travel Resource Chef has the responsibility for leading the cluinary service team members toward client satisfaction with food quality and meal service from pre-opening of the business, during the opening and after transition of new business. This position involves being on site two weeks prior and 3-4 weeks after opening.
This leader will be responsible for developing effective working relationships with clients and team members while training and directing the team. The Travel chef's are responsible, without limitation, to ensure the smooth operation of the facility and position you are supporting. Travel requires 10 days on, 4 days off schedules, however, there are occasions where 5 day, 50 hour work weeks are more standard.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ability to train the new executive chef and production team on all Compass Community Living operating systems, procedures and standards.
- Produce hgih quality, visually appealing food and meals
- Develop job flows/responsibilities for each position in the kitchen.
- Responsible for management of the ktichen and all the food production at the new location
- Ensures high quality foods and service are provided to all customers.
- Food and supply purchasing as needed - adhering to product specifications and authorized vendors
- Establishes work plan and staffing for each phase of the project
- Responsible for inputting and managing payroll
- Communicates project details across all levels of the organization and across multiple departments proactively.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or culinary degree
- At least 5 years of experience as an executive chef or chef manager
- A valid driver's license
- Preferred experience in opening or transitioning business
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Proficient with Microsoft outlook, one note, word, excel, power point
- Proven ability to define and execute change strategies
- Able to manage multiple projects at a time with sharp organizational skills
