Oil & Gas Industry Analyst
BMI is currently seeking an Oil & Gas Industry Analyst based out of our London office.
BMI, a Fitch Solutions Company and a global leader in emerging markets analysis, requires a commercially minded individual with the skills and ambition to succeed as an analyst, specialising in the Oil & Gas market. Based in our London office, you will be contributing to our highly-regarded market analysis service, providing analytical research for senior decision-makers in financial institutions, consultancies, government agencies and large multinational corporations.

We’ll Count on You To:
- Contribute analytical research to our daily and quarterly publications
- Manage your own portfolio of country reports, producing opportunity and risk assessments and 10yr market forecasts
- Maintain comprehensive project, regulatory and supply and demand datasets to facilitate accurate industry forecasting
- Analyse the growth strategies of the world’s leading energy firms
- Identify market trends and articulating how these translate into growth opportunities for our clients
- Collaborate with Country Risk and other Industry Sector analysts across global offices to ensure holistic, cutting-edge analysis and insights
- Support our sales team with clients to communicate our industry views and to help promote content
What You Need to Have:
- Bachelor or master’s degree from a top-tier university with a focus on Energy, Economics, Science, International Relations, or related field
- Experience in related industry or energy-related analysis and research
- An interest in international business, particularly the emerging markets
- Ability to solve problems using critical, rational and creative thinking
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to clearly convey technical concepts
- Numeracy and a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
