Your Role:
The Packaging Operator 1 at MilliporeSigma in Sheboygan Falls will stage, fill (manually or semi-automatically), cap, label and over pack liquid products per approved packaging specifications while utilizing all required safety equipment. The following tasks will be completed daily:
Complete appropriate packaging documentation per ISO procedures and deliver products to inventory
Fill, cap and label chemical products
Follow all quality and safety procedures
Support quality systems
Train others and work in a team setting
Days/hours: 12 hour night shift position on a 2-2-3 schedule: Hours are 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM (M/T on, W/R off, F/S/S on, M/T off, W/R on, F/S/S off, repeat)
Physical Attributes:
Wear appropriate protective gear, (hard hats, glasses/goggles, chemical resistant suits, gloves, safety shoes) and other personal protection equipment "PPE" to protect from toxic or corrosive chemicals in the forms of liquids, solids, vapors or airborne particles
Who You Are:
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications:
6+ months work experience in a chemistry, biology or other life science environment
Read and understand oral and written instructions
Basic math skills including the metric system
SOPs/UOPs, cleaning protocols, work and conduct rules
Use of safety equipment and semi-automated equipment
Hand-eye coordination and small/large tool dexterity
Excellent teamwork and communication skills
Time management, organizational and problem solving skills
1+ year of forklift experience
