Your Role:

As a Material Control Clerk with EMD Electronics, you will perform all duties necessary to receive, store, issue and package raw materials and assembled equipment in the storeroom area. The employee must wrap, package, weigh, stencil and label materials and packaging. The employee will count and collect materials using a pick list and deliver them to the manufacturing area. This includes transferring material to manufacturing, office, and cleanroom pass-through. The employee will count inventory, package products and complete transactions in SAP and enter information in software systemsThis position is responsible for preparing outgoing products for shipment that include, order fulfillment, packaging product per customer requirements, and shipping of product.

 

Physical Attributes:

  • Work in a cleanroom work environment and wear PPE (Personal Protection Equipment) such as a cleanroom hair cover, face cover, cleanroom smock with Latex or Nitrile gloves
  • Lift up to 50 lbs. and transfer that weight at waist height or knee height
  • Push/Pull 200lb metal boxes on wheels
  • Use steps to retrieve raw materials and reach over a tilting lift table to install packaging material
  • Utilizing full range of motion with arms and legs
  • The position will include time sitting and performing transactions and data entry at a computer

 

Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ year experience in a warehouse environment
  • Working knowledge and safe use of hand tools including hammers, saws, pneumatic stapler, and pneumatic nail kit
  • Experience with powered industrial trucks (like a forklift and pallet jacks) to move heavy items
  • Basic computer skills including shipping software and SAP
  • Self-starting and motivated
  • Good written and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced dynamic environment while following safety and process controls
  • Ability to work with a team and independently
