Your Role:
The Distribution Associate 2 – Split Shift role at MilliporeSigma in Milwaukee, WI plays a critical role in the fulfillment of customer orders through the activities of receiving, picking, packing, and shipping of life science materials. Starting pay rate is $22.15/hour. Job duties include:
- Shift Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm
- Load and unload freight
- Operate equipment to produce documents for workload
- Locate, move, deliver or return all materials to proper areas
- Prepares materials for shipment
- Accurately document all movement of materials
- Audit inventory locations to maintain inventory and location accuracy
- Verifies chemicals, catalog number, lot number, special requests information, unit size and weights against order documentation found in packing instructions
- Prints and applies all required labels and markings to box to comply with hazardous materials regulations
- Condenses, straightens, and maintains warehouse areas
- Works with team leads and supervisors to troubleshoot systems issues
- Reports unsafe or potentially unsafe hazards to team leads or any member of management
- Miscellaneous duties and tasks as assigned
Physical Attributes:
- May involve standing for long periods of time, operating powered industrial equipment, and lifting up to 50 pounds unassisted
Who You Are
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1+ years of fulfillment, customer service, or warehousing experience
- Strong professional communication skills to interact with all levels of staff, both orally and written
- Ability to work quickly and adjust to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with computers, scanners, printers, and shipping equipment
- Must follow all good distribution practices (GDP), where applicable.
