United Living Infrastructure Services is made up of our three subsidiaries, United Living Energy Limited, United Living Water Limited and Great British Communications.
United Living Energy is a UK gas and energy engineering specialist offering design, build and maintenance on critical national infrastructure for the UK gas asset owners. United Living Water Limited provide a comprehensive range of water infrastructure services covering all aspects of pipeline networks including investigation, design, planning infrastructure maintenance, mains rehabilitation, new connections, metering and repairs. United Living Fixed Line Telecoms provide construction of networks including cabling, splicing and testing on networks.
Purpose:
To assist with the commercial aspects and contractual administration of works carried out by the region/division.
Specific Responsibilities:
· Ensure that United Living’s SHEQ standards, operating processes and company policies are
understood, implemented and adhered to at all times and that, as far as is reasonably practicable,
legislative requirements are complied with.
· Learn and understand the United Way of working ensuring that the processes are complied with and
adopted into your daily disciplines.
· Act in a professional manner in everything you do such that the Company’s reputation is enhanced
Under close supervision of their line manager:
Procurement
· Prepare and issue subcontract enquiries or trade packages
· Draft subcontract orders for approval by line manager
· Logging subcontract orders on relevant Document Management System
Main Contract
· Populating Clients Valuation Template
· Preparing Accounts for Quarterly & Year End Open Book Audit
· Logging Applications & Client Certificates on relevant Document Management System
· Assist in the management of C.V.I's and contract Instructions.
· Assist in preparation of monthly valuation
· Ensure that any agreements with client representatives are documented
Subcontract
· Ensure that Subcontractor Payments and any agreement of Variation is documented and logged on the
relevant Document Management System
· Ensure that Subcontractor Final Accounts are logged in the correct manner
Financial
· Competent use of Company cost system
· Prepare supporting information for the monthly CVR.
Admin
· File and distribute documents and drawings
· Working closely with members of the team to ensure that all instructions are collated
Other
· Ensure that you do not commit the business to binding agreements with either clients or sub-
contractors without the express permission / authority of your line manager
· Attend site meetings as necessary
· Maintain and continuously improve commercial /legal/contractual awareness
· Learn and understand the Contracts Process
· Ensure that the United Way of working and the processes incorporated therein are complied with and adopted into your daily disciplines.
· Co-operate and work in partnership with the team to ensure consistent delivery of successful projects in order to support the achievement of United Living business objectives and to deliver target margins
· Involvement in community engagement activities within and outside normal working hours

· Good GCSEs at Grade C or above to include Math’s and English
· Computer literate with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Teams and Word skills to an intermediate level and
keen to extend knowledge on software packages
· Numerate to high standard, able to analyse data and produce costs and information for final accounts
· Knowledge and use of schedule of rates within social housing maintenance
· Understanding of contract commercial requirements and price frameworks
· Able to produce work accurately and to tight deadlines
· Experience in working within time and budget restraints
· Understanding of standard methods of measurement
· Takes ownership of issues/problems and personally sees them through to delivery
· Is able to critique processes/procedures and can recommend improvements that have a business benefit

Level of Qualifications:
· Minimum 2 years in the construction field or related service provision
